Work begins at BBTWINS

Project activities are underway on our 4-year BBI-JU funded project! This includes initial digitalisation of value chains, site visits to our two case studies, and development of the project website and visual materials.

We are all excited for the next four years of working together towards a more resource-efficient agri-food sector.

Project Video Released!

Project partner REVOLVE has developed the project's first video, giving an overview of the project and its objectives.

Site Visits

Portesa factory tour


The team visited the Portesa factory, gaining valuable insights into the value chain and food processes as we work towards their digitalisation, as well as optimising the feedstocks to recover resources and maximise efficiency.
 

 

Dimitra orchard visit


We travelled to Greece to visit Dimitra's orchards and factory. Along the way we learnt more about the work they do, and establish the areas where more can be done to reduce waste and increase production.
 

Events

The Future of Food and Farming Summit 2021


This high-level event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, farmers, scientists, and NGO representatives, allowing them to debate the trajectory of Europe’s food and agriculture through exclusive interviews, panel discussions and interactive roundtables. 
 

 

World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit 2021


The World Agri-Tech innovation Summit involved corporates, innovators and investors from across the agriculture and food production supply chain to uncover solutions and business models that will enable the transition to a low carbon economy.

BBI-JU is now CBE-JU


The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) is a €2 billion partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), building on the success of its predecessor, the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU), while addressing the current challenges facing the industry.
